Hilton Hotel in Mexico City Is Offering The Ultimate Glamping Barbie Experience

Travelers visiting Mexico City will be able to enjoy an amazing stay at an exclusive life-sized Barbie haven suite in Santa Fe’s Hilton Hotel from March to December 2019. The themed suite was created in 20 weeks and is kitted out with a pink pool cabana and a life-sized DreamCamper, as well as a collection of rare Barbies from the past six decades.

In the bathroom guests will find pink bath mats and Barbie stickers on the mirrors. Plus, the hotel’s restaurant is offering a special pink menu that will include heart-shaped pizzas, gnocchi in pink sauce, red velvet treats, and strawberry ice cream. Moreover, there will be a giant pink show in the lobby – the perfect place for selfies, as well as Barbie-themed artwork on the walls.

The hotel joined forces with its manufacturer – toy company Mattel, and created the Barbie-themed hotel room. The mostly pink room offers guests a special décor and Barbie-related activities. Moreover, the room aimed at younger guests can be booked with an adjacent one where parents and friends can stay. Andres Korngols, the general manager at Hilton Mexico City Santa Fe said:

Glamping is a fusion of glamour and camping. Barbie loves to travel, enjoys nature and cares about the environment, without forgoing the comfort of the most sophisticated accommodations. Travelers can now join in her dream glamping experience.”

The Barbie room experience will start at $189 per night on weekdays and $229 per night on weekends. Celebrations of the Barbie anniversary in Mexico City will also include Barbie’s house – which will open at the Chapultepec Fair next month, and a Barbie race scheduled for June. The Barbie doll initially made her debut at the American International Toy Fair in New York on March 9, 1959.
